Course Delivery: Online. (Theory) To achieve this skill set, learners will be required to undertake a minimum of 120 hours of work placement at a suitable facility as per work placement checklist.

- Provide a valid USI
- Be eligible to study in Australia with the Australian College of Community Services and Care
- Hold the required criminal and working with children checks (if applicable)

Resource Requirements:
- A computer with reliable internet access and a web browser
- A device to record video
- A calculator
- Digital presentation media (e.g. PowerPoint, video presentation, infographics, etc.)
Our learning material and learning management system is designed with the student in mind, ensuring it is easy to study.
Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is available to suitable ACCSC learners who have at least three to five years of relevant industry experience. Eligible learners will be given the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills and gain RPL through our assessment only pathway.

Dedicated Trainer and After Hours Support
ACCSC provides learners with a dedicated trainer to support them through their learning journey. Trainers have extensive industry experience allowing them to not only support learners in their learning journey and give guidance when entering or advancing in the workforce. Administrative support is available after hours.

- CHCPRT025 Identify and report children and young people at risk
- CHCPRT026 Support the rights and safety of children and young people
- CHCPRT027 Work collaboratively to maintain an environment safe for children and young people
- CHCMHS007 Work effectively in trauma informed care
Target Group
This Skill Set is targeted at individuals currently working in the child protection sector or with existing qualifications or experience in community services roles seeking to broaden their skills in child protection.
Work Placement
Learners will be required to undertake minimum 120 hours of work placement. Learners will need to organise their own placement at a site that meets all requirements of the Workplace Resources Checklist
