ACCSC’s CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support is offered online. This nationally recognised qualification provides learners with the skills necessary to work in a range of contexts in a disability services setting.
Whilst not a core component of this qualification our educators believe it is important to understand the impact and inner workings of the National Disability Insurance Scheme, things other providers of this nationally recognised qualification may not teach you!

The CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support is used for learners transitioning into roles which specialise in disability services, which includes a range of community settings and client’s homes. Learners will develop the skill to empower people with disabilities achieve greater autonomy, self-reliance, community engagement and general wellbeing.
Professionals will be expected to work without direct supervision and may be required to oversee and/or coordinate a small team as well as promote an individualised service approach.
To achieve this qualification, learners must complete a minimum of 80 hours of Work Placement with a suitable disability services provider in Australia.

Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is available to suitable ACCSC learners who have at least three to five years of relevant industry experience. Eligible learners will be given the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills and gain RPL through our assessment only pathway.

Learners are required to obtain a National Police Clearance and other relevant requirements as per state or territory regulations and as specified by the individual organisation.
Expected Study Hours up to 22 hours a week including minimum 80 hours Work Placement.

ACCSC only provides courses that relate to the disability, ageing support and individual support, focusing on assisting those needing additional support in our community. Our trainers have extensive experience working in industry in hands on and management roles enabling them to transfer skills and knowledge. ACCSC’s one-on-one learner support system enables learners to have access to a trainer to support them through their studies as well as entering the workforce.
ACCSC provides learners with a dedicated trainer to support them through their learning journey. Trainers have extensive industry experience allowing them to not only support learners in the learning journey and give guidance when entering or advancing in the workforce. Administrative support is available after hours.
Student must complete minimum 80 hours of Work Placement in a registered home and community care and/or disability support and services as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency of the course.
