COURSE DESCRIPTION
ACCSC’s CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support is offered both online. This nationally recognised qualification provides learners with the skills necessary to work in a range of contexts in an ageing support setting.
Please Note: Holders of Subclass 500 visas and visas that with an expiration date on or before the expected course completed date are ineligible to study with ACCSC. Any application to enrol by any holder of a Subclass 500 visa or a visa with a conflicting expiration date will not be accepted and subject to a $200 administration fee.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN WHILE STUDYING CERTIFICATE IV IN AGEING SUPPORT
The CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support is used for learners transitioning into roles which specialise in aged care support, which includes residential and home or community-based support services. Learners will develop the skills to maintain responsibility for quality service delivery ensuring the creation, facilitation and review of these individualised services within the defined organisation guidelines.
Learners will develop the skills required to be expected to show leadership and lower levels of responsibility within the service as a whole and supporting colleagues within the ongoing quality improvement of their work.
To achieve this qualification, learners must complete at least 120 hours of Work Placement.
To complete your CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support course you will need access to:
- A computer with reliable internet access and a web browser
- An aged care support services organisation to complete Work Placement under the supervision of a person who holds a CHC43015 Certificate III in Individual Support, or equivalent, or higher.
Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is available to suitable ACCSC learners who have at least three to five years relevant industry experience. ACCSC can assess and provide RPL credit with its RPL process!
If a learner’s RPL application is assessed as Not Yet Satisfactory, their option is to complete the qualification with ACCSC via online.
Learners are required to obtain a National Police Clearance and other relevant requirements as per state or territory regulations and as specified by the individual organisation.

ACCSC provides learners with a dedicated trainer to support them through their learning journey. Trainers have extensive industry experience allowing them to not only support learners in their learning journey and give guidance when entering or advancing in the workforce. Administrative support is available after hours.
Student must complete 120 hours of Work Placement in a registered aged care facility, home and community care and/or disability support and services as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency of the course.
