Completing this qualification will allow you to work under supervision and delegation as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, following an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason.

While there are no entry requirements for this qualification, ACCSC requires that learners:
- Minimum age 18
- Provide a valid USI
- Be eligible to study in Australia with the Australian College of Community Services and Care
- Hold the required criminal and working with children checks (if applicable)
- Be able to arrange a suitable work placement that meets the requirements outlined in the work placement resource checklist.
