The CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support is used for learners transitioning into roles which specialise in providing care and support to individuals who due to ageing require care. Learners will develop the skills to follow an individualised care plan in a community or residential environment and use their judgement in a variety of situations as well as have knowledge of related theoretical, procedural and factual details.
Learners will develop the skills required to be expected to provide person-centred support within the service as a whole and supporting colleagues in the ongoing improvement of their work within a team.
To achieve this qualification, learners must complete at least 120 hours of Work Placement

Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is available to suitable ACCSC learners who have at least three to five years of relevant industry experience. Eligible learners will be given the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills and gain RPL through our assessment only pathway.

Learners are required to obtain a National Police Clearance and other relevant requirements as per state or territory regulations and as specified by the individual organisation.
Expected Study Hours are between 1082 to 1341 including 120 hours Work Placement.

ACCSC only provides courses that relate to the disability, ageing support and individual support, focusing on assisting those needing additional support in our community. Our trainers have extensive experience working in industry in hands on and management roles enabling them to transfer skills and knowledge. ACCSC’s one-on-one learner support system enables learners to have access to a trainer to support them through their studies as well as entering the workforce.
ACCSC provides learners with a dedicated trainer to support them through their learning journey. Trainers have extensive industry experience allowing them to not only support learners in their learning journey and give guidance when entering or advancing in the workforce. Administrative support is available after hours.
Student must complete 120 hours of Work Placement in a registered aged care facility, home and community care and/or disability support and services as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency of the course.
