In this course, you will learn the skills and knowledge required to support and protect children and young people who are at risk of harm. You will also learn how to contribute to the continuous improvement of trauma informed care within a service and to organise, provide and monitor support services within the limits established by an individualised plan.
This is a comprehensive program consisting of 3 broad units covering multi-discipline areas including CHCPRT001 – Identify and respond to children and young people at risk CHCMHS007 – Work effectively in trauma informed care and CHCCCS015 – Provide individualised support.

The course is made up of 3 unit in total
All learners are required to ensure that their progression is maintained in accordance with the Training Schedule provided in the welcome email and in accordance with the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACEQA) national Quality Framework, which requires learnings working towards a qualification to make ‘satisfactory progress towards completing the course’.
Where it is identified that a learner is not progressing in accordance with the Training Schedule and the requirements of ACEQA, they will be provided with three written warnings. The final written warning may result in cancellation of their enrolment.
No refunds will be payable for learners failing to meet the obligations outlined above.
Learners will be required to complete practical tasks in the workplace to meet nationally recognised training package requirements. Learners enrolling in this course must be existing workings in a suitable workplace, with access to appropriate situations involving children and/or young people.
In the event that the learner’s workplace is unable to provide all of the required facilities, equipment and resources, following confirmation by the College, it is the learner’s responsibility to find an alternative facility at which they can undertake their placement.
